Our Story

Born from the need to bridge the gap between desktop hobbyist printers and million-dollar industrial systems, Mammoth Printers represents the next evolution in accessible large-format 3D printing.

Founded by University of Wisconsin-Madison Engineers

Mammoth Printers began with a simple idea: industrial-scale 3D printing shouldn’t be out of reach for small teams. That idea came from one of our founders while studying materials at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He saw a gap in the market—large printers existed, but they were too expensive, too complex, or both.

The second founder joined soon after, bringing complementary engineering skills and a shared belief in practical, accessible design. Together, we built Mammoth from scratch—designing, testing, and refining every part of the machine ourselves. We’ve stayed small and focused, building around real needs instead of industry buzzwords.

We’re still just a two-person team: one who pushed the vision forward, and one who made it real alongside him. Everything we ship reflects our hands-on process and our commitment to helping builders, manufacturers, and innovators do more with less.

Our Mission

To democratize large-format 3D printing by delivering industrial-grade reliability in systems that are accessible, supportable, and designed for real-world manufacturing environments.

Our Values

These principles guide every decision we make, from product design to customer support.

Proudly Based in Madison, Wisconsin

The Midwest isn't just our home—it's our inspiration. This region built America's manufacturing backbone, and we're continuing that tradition with next-generation 3D printing technology.

From our Madison headquarters, we serve manufacturers across the region and beyond, bringing the reliability and work ethic that defines Midwest manufacturing to every printer we build.
